Join PMI Maine on this exciting tour of Bath Iron Works.
See how Project Management is applied in construction of the ships essential to the U.S. Navy's combat readiness. Tour participants will see the build process from a flat piece of steel to a completed ship, ready for service. Some of BIW's Project Managers will join us for lunch, where we'll be offering a Q&A Session. Ship tour will be included if schedule availability permits.
Some things to consider if you're interested in participating in the tour:
- Based on the secure nature of the work done at BIW, all tour participants will be required to submit proof of U.S. Citizenship in the form of a Birth Certificate or valid U.S. Passport.
- The majority of the 2 hour tour will require walking and/or standing. Please inform us ahead of time if you require a mobility aid so we can accommodate.
- Dress code requires closed-toed shoes such as sneakers or work boots, long-sleeve shirts, and long pants. BIW will provide PPE.
- Number of participants will be capped at 25.
- Lunch from Domino's will be included with registration.
- Participants will meet at the BIW Training Facility. A shuttle will drive participants to BIW for the tour.
- Registration for this event will close on April 10th so we can finish collecting and verifying citizenship documents.
- Participants will be required to sign liability waivers for BIW and PMI Maine.
